The Hardy Tunnel was the 3rd and final tunnel to be completed by LRL in the Altavista District for Norfolk Southern Railway Company. Tasked to improve clearance in this 757’ long, single track tunnel. Liner removal, steel set installation, shotcrete application, and rock bolting were performed to complete this project.
